Even though the doctor checked my feet by putting pins all over them they are still very sore if I try to walk any distance. Before the diagnosis I had got Orthotics and I thought that this foot pain was just due to me being 80 pounds overweight. It turns out that my feet are flatfoot and have other structural difficulties. Suddenly, in the last few weeks I have been getting chapping on my heels and I remember my mom having that at this age and she also has diabetes. I've avoided getting any chapping or dry skin on my feet until now I think because I always wear Crocs in the house and I never go barefoot period I have flat arches and I'm heavy so I'm not comfortable walking barefoot anymore.

yes, feet have a sensation of pressure and ache alot but I'm dealing with it best I can cause there's nothing I know of that can be done about it. I've learned to wear thick socks when I don't have shoes on because my feet will 'feel' cold even when they are not. Even on a summer day, they might get the cold feeling and begin ache-ing. Thick socks solves it. I still go barefoot in the summer but put the socks on for a little while to ward off the sensation. Then they come off again.
