Not oatmeal, all grains are too high in carbs for everyone with T2 because low carb tolerance is what T2 is.

No bread (more grains) no cereals (more grains) no jams, juices and limit the fruit too it is full of sugar.

You can eat any of the other foods, bacon and eggs mushrooms, anything

EXCEPT sugars, grain foods and potato including sweet potato.

Most people get it wrong deciding what foods affect them even though they say they have proved it by personal testing.

We can all eat some carbs and we are fine but when we exceed our personal limit, a small amount of any carb food will send us very high. It has nothing to do with what food the carbs are in.

The worst Breakfast is:-

Cereal (any type) fruit, juice, toast with marmalade, tea or coffee with sugar and is the absolute worst way for us to start our day..

I like oatmeal made with water and a chopped apple and cinnamon added. Keeps me full until lunch time as well.

Oatmeal although a 'healthy' grain, can spike glucose numbers up by a large amount for some people. Others can manage a little. How many people who have mentioned oatmeal in the answers above have tested their blood sugar before and again after 2 hours of having the meal. If so, what was the difference in your numbers? It would be interesting to see how different it can be for various people, so why not try it out and report it here so we can all learn from it?
