Members shared a wide variety of breakfast ideas for managing blood sugar, with many noting that oatmeal and traditional cereals spike their glucose levels despite being considered healthy choices. Several members found success with protein-rich options like eggs with bacon or cheese, low-carb yogurt with berries and chia seeds, and homemade baked goods using almond or cauliflower flour, while others suggested testing individual tolerance since everyone responds differently to foods. A recurring theme was the importance of testing after meals to find what works personally, staying mindful of portion sizes and carb counts, and remembering that breakfast doesn't have to follow traditional rules.

Eggs...fried in butter...scrambled with cheese...In an omelette with bacon and cheese. Grear fat to protein ratio. Zero carbs. Very minimal effect on blood glucose. Plus dietary cholesterol has very little effect on our cholesterol levels. Perfect!

I was told by a doctor that a good breakfast would be one egg, one piece of toast and a piece of fruit.

I have eggs, meat, and cheese. NO grains! Make any "bread" from cauliflower or almond flour. Avocados are also good for breakfast.
