I had my daughter 16 months ago and havent been able to lose weight,i havent lost or gained a kilo in all this time,I gained after she was born and it stuck. I am in S.A. I was diagnosed in 1997 and am on insulin. Is there anything I can take to help me lose?
i am taking insulin and have to be smart with my carbohydrate intake as these foods prevent Hypoglaemia, and i have to portion it out with other nutrients to get the full benefits of it. and it pays to be physically active to help balance the bodies capacity to consume and store carbohydrates in the body.
Carbs are actually worse than sugar for us - I only eat Basmati rice (once or twice a week and then only a handful), red or orange sweet potatoes, one slice of low GI wholewheat toast a day and occasionally couscous and find that my readings are good. My problem is that I have a very bad sweet tooth and at the moment I am eating one dark-chocolate (small one though) Aero a day. How can I stop this craving?
