It's up to each individual. I don't react very well to any form of vaccination so I don't have them. I've had real flu only twice in my life, once when I was a kid and once 29 years ago. Both times I had high fever, hallucinations and aching all over with sore throat chest infection and the works.

Also with real flu you need to convalesce properly otherwise complications such as pneumonia can set in. Some people think that maybe chronic fatigue syndrome is a result of not properly convalescing from flu or other serious viral illnesses.

What people call flu these days is just a bad cold most times. With real flu you couldn't go to work you'd be too ill. For that reason I'm a bit sceptical on the flu stats as most cases are reported by the sufferer so maybe they are confusing a bad cold with flu.

Guess I will be the odd one out. I do not believe in the flu shot. You are introducing a virus into your body to help you not get a totally different strain of virus. If you have had a shot and not gotten sick, you simple avoided getting any virus in the first place. Praise God. I haven't had the flu since I was in my 20's. There are many nasty chemicals in flu shots our body doesn't need to be exposed to. Do not attack me about this post. You do what is best for you and I will remain chemical free. Thanks.

There is a flu vaccine without the mercury. But flu shots have helped me not get the flu. I had swine flu and real high fever that triggered major depression and mood disorder.

Have had flu jabs for the last 8 plus years.Mixed reactions but mostly positive. Last time was offered pneumonia shot for first time. Also given shingles jab too.Don't know if I believe they help but if offered seems mean not to accept.
