I am not always in the mood to just chug water like I should. I am, admittedly, struggling with regular soda even though I know I should not have it. Have you ever tried infused water? flavored waters? carbonated flavored water? If you are allowed to have artificial sweeteners or you can tolerate the taste, you might try some different water "options". I have an infuser pitcher that I bought for $4 at the store Five Below. I put things like cucumber and lemon, raspberries, lemon and mint, in the infuser section and drink my water ice cold with a variety of natural flavors. It helps to quench my thirst as well as give me some flavor. Sometimes just chugging water makes me sick to my stomach. The flavors help.

I was instructed to drink a lot of water and get in some vigorous exercise, which burns off excess glucose in the cells.

I totally forgot about the apple cider vinegar, just a pinch like a teaspoon in a large bottle of water, like Sherienh said, is what I have heard. Great suggestion. You can take apple cider vinegar tablets, they are advertised on amazon for 2 bottles for $4. I would check with your doctor, though, because increased acid in the body is hard on the kidneys and diabetes takes a toll on your kidneys anyway. I hope you can find a happy medium to get your water intake :)
