Any Useful Tips On Dealing With PN?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have read that certain supplements ( evening primrose oil) and a Tens machine can help with PN. Has anyone tried these? Do they help?

I had a chance to try out a tens unit at the mall. I have tendonitis in my foot and it was hurting that day. The tens unit was great! Relief was almost immediate. I have kidney problems so aspirin and ibuprofen are not allowed. Planning to get one for myself. Can't say about the other. I take gabapentin for neuropathy pain.

Tens units are good for muscle pain, like tendonitis, carpal tunnel and alot more.

That is interesting. I wonder if it interferes with any medications you might be talking. My numbers are under control so no need for me to try it.

Hi Debbie, yes the pain is from Neurophy . Since this post, I have started taking a supplement called Alpha Lipoic Acid - R factor and it seems to be helping.
