Sorry if it's already ben asked, couldn't find it. I'm thinking about it. Guidelines seems inconclusive, so I'm going to talk to my certified diabetes educater 1st. Thing the is I've also been diagnosed with epilepsy to and read that the keto diet can help that too. I've been on restrictive diets before (eg vegan for seven years awhile back), so that's not an issue. Thanks in advance, michelle.

Eat Lower Fat is the current Health Mantra but they fail to tell us "why"
The why is because we eat too much of everything as a society and since Fat packs over double the number of calories found in proteins and carbs (on a gram for gram basis), if we are going to "over eat" they are trying to convince us to overeat "less calories"

I don't spend a great deal of time on Facebook but when I do I seem to get bombarded by the Snake Oil Sellers telling me how they will cure diabetes with their magic formula - that you somehow need to take month after month because I guess the cure wears off after the last pill in the bottle?
But I also get a number of legitimate advertisements from providers that have some program or some diet all figured out and for X bucks a month they will guide you down the diabetic path.
