I am struggling with morning highs and seem to be needing to take much more insulin which I really dont want to do. I go to sleep at night with a certain reading, take insulin Apidra and Lantus and wake up in the morning with the high reading. I have also noticed that the reading does sometimes drop during the course of the night but is high again when I wake up. Also have put on weight. I have always been told that Lantus does not cause Weight gain. Other insulins do, such as Humalog or Apidra or Humulin , or even the insulin mixes such as 70/30. The difference is because Lantus is a… read more

I am also on 70/30 and I just leave mine in the dresser in bedroom don't have to be refrigerated
