Hi @A DiabetesTeam Member
For the best diabetes outcomes, we need to control our numbers to the nondiabetic range 4.0(72) to 7.8(140). Both before meals, and our 2 hour numbers.

I have been taking prandin for a while along with januvia. My question is can I try this amaryl along with my januvia? Do I need to ask my doctor if I could switch prandin to amaryl and continue with my januvia?
I was on Januvia I had to get off I bought pancreatitis has no cure. No other pain is close to it not even morphine will take it away. I was in hospital for 39 days.
Thanks JenniferWaithe

High blood sugar in the morning is typical
@A DiabetesTeam Member Both (diets) are highly rated for both weight loss and diabetes control but they are also far more restrictive then the average person would undertake

Has anyone experienced issues with their kidneys yet kidney function remains normal? I have recently experienced several bouts of Kidney stones and infections, I am on a cacophony of medications, 3 anti diabetics, 2 oral plus 1 injectable, and 2 blood pressure medications.
I have had Kidney stones in the past and I have been to the doctor, a year or two ago they discovered a cyst on the kidney , but they said they couldn't do anything about it.. lately I have been getting what I call a… read more
@A DiabetesTeam Member what new med will you be taking?
I really watch my carbs, rarely have any sugars, and portion control. I have lost 40+ pounds in past 7 months and A1c has dropped from 6.6 to 5.4. My blood sugar before dinner is usually between 90-110. Bedtime (3+ hours after evening meal) is usually around 100-110. I cannot seem to get my morning fasting blood sugar consistently below 100 and even getting it down to 100-110 is not consistent. Am I doing something wrong or is this just as good as it gets? Thanks.
May they just do not have the time. 🤔
Should you eat when your sugars are in the low range or high range
Thank you Graham and Pandapop
My blood ranges tend to jump all over and I don't know what is normal. It was 212 yesterday and I was so tired I took my meds laid down slept for an hour got up it was 106. Then an hour later it was 45 and I was shaking and sweating. Now this morning it's 196. I just don't understand.
Have you consulted a nutritionist?
I've been measuring my post prandial bg after a lot of my meals and am getting unexpected readings (160's -212) several times a week (some times same day). I thought I had this figured out-not sure what to think now. When I told my Endo about some lows during my last checkup, he asked to download my meter-and I never heard back from him about it. I've managed to lose 40 pounds and lower both my A1C and blood pressure over the past year. It must be that I have to lower my daily carb intake from… read more
