Monitor your sodium intake, exercise 30 minutes twice daily, take your medication as described from your doctor and communication with him/ her about how much sodium you should have in your foods, eat fresh fruits, unsalted nuts and drink 4 bottles of water or more. Avoid carry out foods and cook for yourself. I use Dash salt free seasonings to flavor my foods , ginger and garlic powder and herbs. Also test yourself daily. I bought a wrist cuff to test my blood pressure numbers. God bless us all 💕🥰🙏.

Iola, yes, I am aware of the Dash (seasoning) - it is incidentally also the name (acronym) for the diet developed to manage hypertension - coincidental of course 😄

Iola mentioned the salt which is a big factor and is in "everything" - in addition to tracking my calories and carbs I also track my Sodium intake (I also take BP meds).

You may want to do a search for the DASH Diet (stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension). It was developed by Cardio Doctors to help manage Hypertension through what we eat - because most eat "crap" which is why Heart Disease is the number one killer (Including Diabetic's - about 80% will die from Heart Disease/Stroke).

DASH is not totally diabetes friendly but if you have a read the information is valuable and you can incorporate many of their suggestions into the the way, and what you eat.

Hello Everyone 😀, I often walk 10,000 steps and drink 4 bottles of water daily which keeps my BP numbers good. I use a wrist cuff to test my BP numbers daily.
