You could start by asking your doctor.
Where I live I have access to a diabetes education (clinic) that has educators and dietitians that specialize in diabetes. Most doctors themselves are "poor sources" unless they specialize in diabetes.
Also most "university hospitals" have a number of resources since some of the doctors doing their training will be/intending to specialize in various conditions, including diabetes.
But generally, your doctor can give you a referral if there is anything available in your area.
You can check with your local hospital. The hospital may have a Diabetes Educator you can talk to about your health. The Diabetes Educator may offer classes to help you get started on how to live with Diabetes. Good luck, Maryo7.
