Excersize
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

My spinal stenosis even with PT. Does not allow me to walk to far at all. I am 65. Will arm chair excersizes be enough with diet to help me lose weight?

Taking in less energy in the form of food than you use up in activity( basic metabolism plus extra ) is the only way to lose weight,Its calculated at 80% nutrition and 20% activity.Armchair exercises will help your metabolism speed up and tone your muscles.,and hopefully increase your stamina but it is the " diet" that will take weight off.It can be hard to lose weight Good Luck. Can you talk to doc/dietitian before you start?.

I started silver sneakers chair excersizes then went to standing. Going at my own pace.
