I sometimes have an effect to different brands.... I’ve had to stick with only a couple.... I found stevia works the best for me. But every one has different bodies and act differently. I’ve found somethings work for me while it’s totally different for others. But I will have to say, I’ve never craved sweets until I became diabetic....

I haven't personally but anytime I add something new to my diet I test my blood sugar two hours afterwards to see how it effects me.

But I have read that certain sugar alcohols in particular DO raise the blood sugar in some people. There is only two that I have tried (erythritol which I eat regularly and xylitol) and had no effect.

Likewise, the sweeteners that they use in diet soda (aspartame and sucralose) does not appear to have any effect (in me) at all. Neither did Stevia (but I can't stand the taste) and Monk Fruit which I use in place of sugar in recipes.

But only self testing will tell you what they do "to you". Sourdough bread is supposed to be (fine) for diabetics - I ate two pieces and it blew my sugars through the roof as does "peas" - I can eat lots of beans and they do nothing but even sniff a pea and my sugar jumps.

All my point is you can't rely on how something "effects someone else" because we all seem to react differently.

Nope, simply I don’t use them. All fake sweeteners are too sickly sweet for me
