reduce your carb and sugar intake. You will discover that hunger is triggered by easily absorbed carbs. They cause insulin spikes, and as soon as it processes the sugars, want more. Hence the hunger. Typically every 2 hrs. Once the carbs and sugars are reduced or gone from your diet, you will find that missing breakfast, lunch or dinner, or all is no longer a struggle.
I dont see how eating once a day could be healthy. I was diagnosed in oct of last year and have heard nothing but...." Eat small amounts of food 4-6 times a day and plenty of water.
I couldnt never eat only once a day. I get shakey, grouchy and light headed if i dont eat.
Sounds like what I do. It is Dr. Jason Fung's program where you fast for varying periods. You experiment with yourself to see what fits you best. I do OMAD (one meal a day), my BG is very well managed without meds, diet only. He has some videos on YouTube.
I think it is some diet where 3 days you eat one way, 1 day you eat another, 2 days.....then 1 day. I haven't seen that type of diet for a long time. It's playing around with metabolism. I wouldn't suggest it myself. Check with Dr. or Diabetes Educator or Dietician. That would be the safest.
