Probably it would be considered high for a non diabetic. The lab may not know you are diabetic.

I take the lowest dose of metformin. My A1C for 2 yrs has been 5.2 and 5.3. My doctor is happy with that and my diabetic dietician is happy with that. When I mentioned about coming off my meds they said no because with diet and meds is likely whats keeping it low. I don't understand at 6.2 you would be flagged though. Its a very low 6 which is acceptable.

6.2 for a diabetic is almost non diabetic. Talk to your Dr., may need to decrease or stop some meds.

I believe 6.2 is considered "pre-diabetic" It's outside the normal range, so the lab will mark it as "high". They do it with my kidney numbers all the time. I know I have CKD. I don't need that constant reminder.
