I went to my doctor yesterday and had my A1C checked it had been 3 months since my last one. My last one was 5.9 which i was very proud of but when the doctor call me today about the one i had yesterday it was 6.3 . Now I'm very disappointed in myself i have worked so hard getting it down by eating better and losing 28 pounds so far , my problem is i don't know why it went to 6.3 cause i haven't done anything different from 3 months ago until now so I'm very confused why it went up. My glucose reading upon waking has been high for the past month! I take my 1000 mg. Of metformin after dinner the night before! Dr. Put me on additional 500 mg. Of metformin that I take with breakfast! What’s going on with this?

Do people think there is a connection between stress and depression and diabetes? If so, to what extent do you feel the connections exist? My personal feeling is that the connections between these factors may be underestimated. I feel that 50%, and perhaps somewhat more, of the reason for my diabetes, comes from levels of stress and depression. Do others feel the same way? Thank you.

I have seen many post up this concern when they woke up to a high fasting number.
I never, as in never-ever, skip breakfast because of a high fasting number
Why?
Because as I have posted many times, Fasting Numbers are the result of sugar released by the Liver when we are not eating for extended periods (sleeping, more than about 5 hours between meals).

Try hard boiled eggs. Lots of protein and lecithin. Add mayo and pickles for egg salad (low cal and carb). Use Keto or dark rye bread and you should be fine.
