Does Anyone Have A Problem With Blood Sugars Dropping Fast (as In Suddenly) ?
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

My blood sugars are usually good, but occasionally (esp when I'm out of the house ) my blood sugar will drop in a matter of seconds to the point where I am extremely shaky and weak. I have taken to carrying a high protein granola bar everywhere and sometimes a juice pack (pure juice) also. Anyone else have this problem and what do they use to treat it ?

I put glucose tablets in each of my purses, and backpack so I do not have to change them when I change bags.

Sometimes sugars drop more rapidly when you are more active than not.I have this problem as well, it started when I was placed on insulin and a new oral anti dietetic- It usually happens in the afternoon, my doctor advised me to change how I take my meds, which worked a little bit. I would consult your doctor and see if this can apply in your situation.
