Once a diabetic always a diabetic, currently 0 cure other then a pancreas transplant atm and even that hasnt been 100% proven effective (its still in the testing stages for another few years).

At best as a t2 you can become controled that your a1c is in a non diabetic range but stray from whats working, get ill, etc and its back to the drawing board to learn what works best for your body once again.
