Hi there, I am needing some help. Recently had a recent anaphylaxis episode that put me in emergency department for 5 hours. Between the bodies fight or flight response to the anaphylaxis and the epinephrine, steriods and benadryl my sugars went through the roof. I believe during such an episode sugar reserves are released. My question is how does one return to normal after such an episode ? Your glucose stores will have already been replaced within 12 hours of them being used on average.

Thanks for the input. Pretty sure acid reflux is not going to cause flushed skin, hives swollen extremities, tight chest, throat, swollen tongue, facial edema, a blood pressure of 74/58 and a spo2 of 68%.

The Anaphylaxis reaction may just be acid reflux, it's not that uncommon among some of the diabetics I know. Sugars should be back to normal the next day. Ask you doctor about acid reflux concerns, I haven't seen any studies, but I think they are more common among diabetics than previously thought.
