Why Do I Get Black And Blue After I Take A Shot?

I am a type 2 diabetic. I am on metformin 2 times a,day. I also take Levemir 90 units at night. Why every time I take a shot in my stomach I get a,big black and blue circle?

Do not do them in your stomach do them at the side of you stomach that what the hospital said to me it could be the tablets as well I had to stom them cause that what it was doing to me leave black and blue ok g

Thank you ! I contacted my Dr and he changed the needle size. Now I don't bruise at all

Well did it work it might be the tablets does not agree with you cause I had to stop them but I give myself insulin into my side instead of my stomach that what I was told

Don't do them in your stomach do them at your side that what the hospital told me to do cause it leave black spot on your stomach so try that and see if that help let me know ok Diane good luck
