When are these Doctors going to stop giving these destructive drugs out. For me thank God I was never given a choice in what I could have! Instead told what I was to have, and don't worry about nothing, and it will be ok
DVLA medical centre at Swansea saw it differently. I lost everything dear tom me. My bus licence of 26 years , and not a shred of empathy
All I got from the hospital unit was " does it matter you were unemployed any way".

I'm in the UK and have an excellent endocrine team. It seems a bit of a lottery here in the care you get. I have had no problem with the DVLA, they don't usually worry about T2, as they say it is not considered hypo giving if you are on medication, such as metformin. I have to renew my license each year as I'm on insulin. Never been told I have to give up driving. My Husband works with a few diabetics they drive big coaches around and they all have current licences, the rules changed a few years ago on driving public transport. It does not automatically disqualify you, speak to your GP that's who writes to DVLA for me not hospital.
