I always carry snacks with some carbs and protein, usually nuts with some raisins. It's easy to loose track of what and when you ate at such events. A baggie with nuts and raisins can easily be carried in a pocket.

I would think the excitement of the coasters would cause a rise in blood sugar. Adrenaline should cause the liver to release some carbs. At least that is my understanding. How do you feel when your blood sugar goes high?

Perhaps it may be a good idea to lug along a meter and strips when you are out and active.

Also, remember that there are things other than diabetes that can cause you to become weak and sick. Did you recover after eating? Dehydration can cause you to become tired and dizzy, could be confused with weak and sick. Heat can also leave someone dizzy and nauseous. Both can easy happen on a warm day in an amusement park.

Planning ahead is key to any social event even when you have to go to the ER for yourself. I have drink packets to add to my water bottle. I have snacks as well as fast acting like chocolate. Hope this helps as it was meant too. Hugs πŸ€—

I have a big purse, that I can carry my meter case, my extra pills, emergency snacks, insulin if needed, and sugar pills. You could get an insulated lunch bag, a camera bag, or just a small bag to carry on your shoulder. You need to bring diabetic OK drinks, unless you can buy them, where you go. But, this is for you and your health, no one needs to know what's inside.
