Since starting to take jardiance, I am experiencing a great deal of leg craps at night which I assume is due to the increase urination. I am a coffee drinker and have started forcing myself to drink more water but it is tough. I have added vitamin supplements such as Potassium and magnesium but I am still experiencing cramps. Any others have some advice or similar issues?
My doctor told me to take COQ 10. Works for me! I was having really bad leg cramps at night.
It is the caffeine in the coffee that increases urination. Cut back on that and it should help.
I have been getting leg cramps so I will give that COQ10 a try. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the message. It was my Dr who suggested the vitamin supplements and based on your advice I am not going to rely too heavily on just the supplement to curb the leg craps. Since starting the vitamins, I am not 100% convinced that they alone are helping that much. Like you I struggle with drinking just water alone. I have been buying the Crystal Light flavoring but I can tell already I am starting to tire with that stuff too. I am just not 100% sure these days what things are good to drink since being diagnosed with Diabetes. I was originally a lover of orange juice but have stopped that almost completely now. This med Jardiance puts us in a situation where it increases that amount of daily urination which in turn causes us to need more fluids which also increases our bathroom visits. Its a viscous cycle and one, that I do not think I am winning.
Michael check with Dr. about the potassium I was taking it along with other vit. my Dr. told me to stop taking it because u should get enough if u eat a good diet, if u take too much potassium it can cause a stroke, heart attack or renal failure. about the leg cramps u may not b drinking enough water I got sooo tired of drinking water, water ,water I started drinking sparkling water it is flavored and has carbon in it like pop but better for u get what has sucrolose aka splenda I've read aspartame causes cancer a lot of sugar free drinks have aspartame.
