If I Miss A Long Acting Insulin Shot What Do I Do? This Is What I Read Online And Wondering If It Is Good Info>
A DiabetesTeam Member asked a question 💭

This is what I read online and wondering if it is good info> If you missed your once-a-day, intermediate or long-acting insulin dose and you realize it within 4 hours, the full dose can still be taken. If it's more than 4 hours late:

• calculate the number of hours late,
• divide by 24, and
• multiply by your usual insulin dose.

Tookie,
My Dr gave me pain pills that help, but they are addictive, so I don't take them unless I have to go somewhere and there's no one to drive me. They also gave me Lyrica & another med in the same family as Lyrica, but stronger, but it made me too dizzy to stand, so according to them I've tried all the meds they offer.

Let your doctor know about the pain in your feet. I have bad pain sometimes too. Blessings to our health.

Adele,
That question was about the one time daily long acting insulin pen.
