I have been enjoying life meaning eating everything mostly on weekends. i just started after a month taking my blood sugar level and t was about 225. that put me in a watch mode. So I have been eating low carbs and exercising a lot. I cannot get to below 150. My test strips were expired so can my test meter be too old now after 3 years? Or my sugar was too high and it takes time for it to level off.
Your test meter should not be older than two years according to my Diabetes Clinic.
Most suffers of T2 DO NOT understand what it is.
The key point they miss is we can process carbs the same as everyone else - but we have a limit - if we exceed our limit any EXTRA small amount of any carb will send us very high.
The type of food the carb is in does not make a difference it is only the total carbs we are trying to process that is the issue. (that is what T2 is)
If you have reduced your carbs and you are still too high you need medication.
T2 is progressive so you will end up on meds. Meds plus diet is where we are all headed to or we will suffer nerve damage etc unnecessarily.
You say you have been eating low carbs. Can you list the kinds of carbs you are eating
I was sent a vivachek meter that's great until I found the cost of testing strips
My specialist said new meter every two years and new injection casing every three years
